Trendos MCP

The Trendos Model Context Protocol (MCP) lets AI assistants access Trendos competitor and monitoring data through a standard protocol.

Overview

The Trendos Model Context Protocol (MCP) lets AI assistants (e.g. Cursor) access Trendos competitor and monitoring data through a standard protocol. This lets AI tools work with monitored domains, competitor comparisons, and related analytics without custom integrations.

What is MCP?

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard that connects AI applications to external data sources. Trendos MCP acts as an adapter so AI assistants can securely use Trendos data via natural language.

Getting Started

What you'll need

  • Trendos subscription with API access
  • MCP-compatible client (e.g. Cursor)
  • MCP credentials (generated in Trendos; separate from standard login)

Authentication

Trendos MCP uses its own credentials. Users generate MCP tokens in the Trendos app; these tokens are used instead of JWT for MCP-enabled endpoints.

Important Disclaimers

AI-generated insights based on Trendos MCP data may be incomplete, inaccurate, or limited by request parameters and data scope. Use MCP outputs as input for decisions, not as the sole basis for business actions.

Credits & Usage: Some MCP requests may consume data credits from your Trendos account. Credit usage depends on the endpoints and data accessed. More complex or multi-endpoint requests may use more credits. Check your account balance and usage before running large or repeated MCP operations.
