Step-by-Step Guide: Adding Trendos RSS Feed to Lark

This guide explains how to set up a new group in Lark, add an RSS feed to that group, and invite your colleagues to keep everyone updated. Pair this with Trendos Smart Product Alerts to make sure every competitive signal reaches your team in real time.
Step 1: Create a New Group in Lark
- Open Lark and click the "+" (plus) icon on the left-hand side of the main screen.
- Choose Create Group from the menu.
- Name your group (e.g., Competitor Updates) to reflect the purpose.
- Set the group to Open (anyone with the link can join) or Private (only invited users can access).
- Click Create to finish setting up the group.
Step 2: Invite Colleagues to the Group
- After creating the group, click on the Group Settings icon (gear icon) at the top-right corner.
- Select Invite Members.
- Type the names or email addresses of the users you want to invite.
- Click Send Invite to add them to the group.
Step 3: Add the RSS Feed to the Group
- To add an RSS feed, you need to integrate a third-party bot or use an RSS integration service, such as Zapier or IFTTT.
- Set up an account with the RSS integration service of your choice (e.g., Zapier or IFTTT).
- Follow the service's steps to create an automation for:
- Trigger: RSS Feed Update (add your RSS feed URL, e.g., https://example.com/competitor-updates.rss).
- Action: Send a message to the Lark group (select Lark or Webhook as the action service).
- Once configured, the RSS feed updates will automatically post in the selected Lark group.
Step 4: Manage or Unsubscribe from the Feed (Optional)
- To manage the feed, go to the RSS integration service's dashboard (e.g., Zapier/IFTTT) and edit or remove the automation.
- To unsubscribe, simply delete the automation on the integration platform, and updates will stop being sent to the group.
Your Lark group is now set up with the RSS feed, and your team members will start receiving the latest updates.
